Documents by Chris on this site : "An Englishman In Italy" "TEFL in Italy"
They've been a long time coming, but here's a small selection of the many photos I took on an occasion that I will remember to my dying day - the beauty and style of Italy, and many happy, friendly people.

Emanuela was escorted by her brother Ranieri to the waiting crowd outside the Fabriano registry office.... The crowd in the background of this shot may well have been there for a different ceremony, I think. |

Even if I didn't improve Anglo-Italian relations that day by engaging in deep conversation, the smiles and friendliness of everyone made it a day to remember. Here are Gigi, husband of Giovanna Pasti (see above, one of the witnesses) closest to the camera, and Carlo Pasti, Giovanna's twin brother, with his wife and child. |

The top table in the restaurant, from where the speeches were made in Italian and English. Chris impressed us by delivering his speech in Italian, and the Best Man's speech was translated by Emanuela. Some of the Italian guests expressed a surprise in the English tradition of Best Man, suggesting that surely the best man should be the one getting married... or was it the other way around .....?! |

The truly amazing millefoglie wedding cake. |
It must have been a tough choice, whether to hold the ceremony in Fabriano or Portchester...... NOT!
