But for the moment a little indulgence in the name of reminiscences..... For those I used to know in Sierra Leone, where I went to Fourah Bay College School, and briefly to the Prince of Wales School, King Tom.

This is a photo of me aged 11 playing in the Prince Of Wales School band, on the streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone - my first formal musical education in playing in a group of people.

And here's me Xmas 97, almost exactly 24 years later, playing with a Maidenhead based band, Joe Blobbs (or was that Jow Blobs?) . Wearing the same hat, you may have noticed !
